Every platform, side by side. One runs your whole season.

Know the field

An honest word on each platform.

These are real companies doing real work. Here is what each one is genuinely good at, and when Flag50 is the better fit.

BreakAway Data

An athlete stats and profile app for flag football, with camera-based performance testing. Strong at showcases and combines where their team stats games on-site.

Choose Flag50 if you run a league or tournament series and need registration, payments, scheduling, and scoring in one system, with stats captured automatically at every game rather than only games statted by hand.

GameChanger

The free scorekeeping, streaming, and team management app from the DICK'S Sporting Goods family, loved by millions of families across many sports. A parent or coach scores the game from the stands and streams it live.

Choose Flag50 if you run the league, not one team. GameChanger serves a single team at a time with volunteer scoring. Flag50 runs the whole operation: registration, payments, scheduling, and official scoring by the referee at every field, with standings and brackets that update themselves.

Why one sport matters

Flag football has its own formats, its own pace, and its own game day. A platform that serves twenty sports treats flag as a configuration. We treat it as the entire product. That is why the Apple Watch app, Speech-to-Score, and auto-populated player profiles exist here first.

Buyer's guide

Six questions to ask any platform.

Including us. Put these in writing to every vendor you evaluate. The answers will tell you more than any demo.

Q1 / Cost

"What will this cost us in year two? Can we get it in writing?"

Introductory pricing ends. A platform confident in its model publishes its pricing and puts future years in the contract.

Q2 / Stats

"Who captures the stats at a normal weekend game, and what does that cost?"

If the answer is a person with a phone at every field, ask how that scales to your full season schedule.

Q3 / Data

"If we leave, do we get all of our data in an open format?"

Registrations, results, and athlete records belong to your league and your families. Export terms reveal whether a vendor agrees.

Q4 / Privacy

"Which third parties or sponsors can reach our athletes inside the app, and how do parents opt out?"

Your families trust you with their kids' information. Know exactly how each platform makes its money before you hand it over.

Q5 / Coverage

"Can we talk to a league that ran a complete season, every game, on your platform?"

References from a single showcase weekend are easy. A full season is the real test of any system.

Q6 / Scope

"Does this replace our current tools, or do we still need another platform underneath it?"

Two systems means two logins, two data sets, and two bills. Know what you are actually buying.

Our answers, for the record: 3.5% plus $3 per registration, published right here, with the platform included when registration runs through Flag50. Stats are captured by the scoring workflow at every game with no extra staff. Your data exports whenever you ask. We sell software to leagues, not access to athletes. And Flag50 replaces the stack: registration, payments, scheduling, scoring, stats, player profiles, and your league website in one platform.

Common questions

Comparison questions.

How much does Flag50 cost?

Run registration through Flag50 and the platform is included: the fee is 3.5% plus $3 per registration, paid at checkout, and the league pays nothing out of pocket when the fee is passed to the registrant. Leagues that keep registration elsewhere pay a monthly plan instead (Rookie $99, Pro $299, Elite $599, Enterprise custom). Tournaments are priced per event: $10 per team, or a one-time pass.

What is the difference between Flag50 and BreakAway Data?

Flag50 is a complete operating system for flag football leagues and tournaments, covering registration, payments, scheduling, live scoring, stats, and player profiles. BreakAway focuses on stat capture and athlete profiles and does not offer registration, payments, or scheduling, so leagues using BreakAway still need a separate platform to run operations.

What is the difference between Flag50 and GameChanger?

GameChanger is a free team-level app where a parent or coach scores and streams games for a single team. Flag50 is league-level software: it runs registration and payments, builds the schedule, and captures official referee scoring at every field, so standings, brackets, and player stats update automatically for the whole organization.

Does Flag50 handle scheduling and referee assigning?

Yes. The AI season scheduler builds full league and tournament schedules with drag-and-drop overrides. Ref Assignor, currently in testing alongside the scheduler, assigns referees to those games so crews and kickoff times land in one pass instead of two spreadsheets. Most general platforms do not advertise referee assigning, or sell it as a separate product.

What is the difference between Flag50 and PlayMetrics or LeagueApps?

PlayMetrics and LeagueApps are general youth sports management platforms that serve many sports. Flag50 is built exclusively for flag football, with sport-specific features like Apple Watch live scoring, voice-powered stat capture, and player profiles that populate automatically from referee scoring.
