Stats: what to track, how to track it, and how to share it

Flag football stats for coaches start with seven events: scores, flag pulls, interceptions, fumbles, deflections, drops, and yards. Track them per player, per game, then share them with parents. Q01Can I track flag football stats if my league is not on Flag50?+

Yes. Coach Lite lets a coach or team manager keep score and stats for their own team on the web or in the app, even when the league runs on something else. You control the clock in coach-kept mode, and parents follow through a private link.

Q02Who should keep stats during a flag football game?+

A parent or team manager, not the head coach. The coach calls plays and manages substitutions; the stat keeper stands next to them with the phone or the sheet. Rotate the job among two or three parents so nobody misses their own kid all season.

Q03Are rushing stats tracked in 7v7 flag football?+

Yes. Under NFHS rules the 7v7 game has a real run game, with handoffs and jet sweeps, so rushing attempts and yards belong on the sheet. In 5v5 under NFL FLAG rules the quarterback cannot run, so most teams track only receiving yards.

Q04How do parents see their kid's flag football stats?+

Send them the team link from Coach Lite. It is private by default, so only the families you share it with can follow. If your league runs on Flag50, stats attributed in the Coaches App show on the athlete profile in the free Flag50 fan app.

Q05What is the difference between scoring and stats in flag football?+

Scoring is the official record of points: touchdowns, conversions, safeties, and the final score. Stats are the per-player events behind the score: flag pulls, catches, yards, interceptions. The league owns the score; the coach owns the stats.
