Players are placed by age on January 1, 2027, so every game is fair. First timers and veterans get the same welcome.
6U
Age 6 and under
A first season. Short games, coaches on the field, every player touches the ball.
8U
Ages 7 and 8
Real positions and simple plays. Players learn to run a route and pull a flag.
10U
Ages 9 and 10
Full rules and a real playbook. Standings start to mean something.
12U
Ages 11 and 12
Faster games, sharper routes, and a playoff race every week.
14U
Ages 13 and 14
Middle school speed. Players read the defense and call their own adjustments.
16U
Ages 15 and 16
The top division. High school level speed, schemes and competition.

Winter Storm registration is open now on Flag50 and closes November 21, 2026. Registration for The Blizzard opens December 7, 2026. You register each player online and they are placed in a division by age.

No. Epic is flag football, so there is no tackling and no helmets or pads. A play ends when a defender pulls a flag off the ball carrier's belt, which makes it a good first football experience for young players.
